Getting and staying organized is so much more than just putting things away. There is the physical aspect of clutter, the stuff we can see and touch, and there are also the invisible pieces, such as the emotional and mental clutter we carry around with us every day. These pieces are all interconnected with each other, and you can’t really fix one without looking at the others.
Our habits, good and bad, are often born out of necessity, they can help us survive and cope with life, and are often built from an emotional place, such as fear, stress, excitement, etc. Habits can help us relieve, and/or avoid worry and pain, and sometimes can also be our brain’s way of protecting us from discomfort. However, these habits don’t always fix the problems we want them to, sometimes our habits can even perpetuate the problem.
What Can You Do To Start To Make Change?
Learning and understanding how your habits work, why you do them, and how they impact your life can be important steps in helping you start to make change, and create the habits that work for you on your journey to becoming the organized person you truly wish to be.
Sometimes, however, you may find yourself unable to let go, which can become a barrier and stop you from becoming the person you dream of being. You can begin to question your worthiness, and abilities, and you can feel stuck, and unhappy.
Society tells us that if we can’t do it all on our own, there must be something wrong with us. The truth is that, often the reason we can’t move forward is because we just don’t know how to, or even where to begin. And sometimes that means asking for help.
Real change takes work and patience.
Every small change you make will lead you to those big breakthroughs you long for...Eventually.
We have been trained to think that if it doesn't happen right away, it's not going to happen.

You are offered one of those "quick fixes," you jump on iy because you want to see that change NOW! Unfortunately, the cycle that usually ends up happening is, you see a big change immediately, you are excited about that change, you lose momentum, you fall back into the patterns and habits that you began with, and then you quit all together.
That in itself can become a habit.
In order to elicit real change in your life, you have to dig deep, you have to do the work, you have to slog along, you will feel discomfort and pain sometimes, and you need to be patient. And then, only then, will you begin to feel the difference in your habits, behaviours, and awareness that will stick.

Hi, my name is Tricia, I am a Habit Coach and Professional Organizer and I help mature women gain back their time, energy and space by teaching how to identify habits, behaviours, mindsets and beliefs that could be contributing to the physical and emotional clutter they may be experiencing, so they can ultimately reclaim their freedom of voice and freedom of choice.
Small changes in habits and mindset can serve as a catapult to moving towards creating a nurturing and supportive environment so you can spend your time being the person you want to be and doing the things you love to do. In addition to teaching you the steps and systems to getting and staying organized, I will also support you as you explore and discover the barriers that may be getting in the way of you reaching your goals and dreams like habits, routines, and organizational style.
Being organized doesn’t mean you have to be Instagram ready, it doesn’t have to be expensive, or time consuming, it’s about making your spaces more efficient so that you can gain back the control you have been craving, and the freedom to be the person you have always dreamed of being.
